The “Si Se Puede” Minority Recruitment Program was established in fall semester of 2003 sponsoring 15 minority students for two days. Last year our numbers doubled and we continue to work together to increase participation. Our objective this year is to recruit 40 to 50 students that meet MIssouri S&T requirements and have an interest in science or engineering.

“Si Se Puede” helps students to explore the career options Missouri S&T has to offer and gives them an inside look at real college life. Participants will learn about MIssouri S&T and Student Diversity Program scholarships that are designed to help increase the number of undergraduate minority students enrolled in Engineering, Science, Business, or Humanities programs that Missouri S&T offers.

During their time at MIssouri S&T the students will interact with members of the SHPE and NSBE chapters. Participants will also meet faculty and staff that volunteer their time to teach students about their departments, answer all their questions and advise them about their career opportunities.
