Freshmen Minority Engineering and Science Scholarship Application

Priority Application Deadline is December 1st

Student Diversity Programs awards up to 50 freshman minority engineering and science renewable scholarships annually. The scholarship amount for your first academic year is up to $4,000 (depending on annual funding) and is renewed annually (for 3 years max) on a scaled rate of 25 - 100% based on academic performance (please see GPA scale below).

The scholarship package includes the annual academic scholarship, participation and cost of the summer enrichment program “Hit the Ground Running” (books not included) and the Master Student seminar class (1 semester).

ELIGIBILITY

Be a US Citizen
Be a member of an ethnic group that is historically under-represented in higher education including African American, Native American and Hispanic American groups
Academic successful in high school
Must be interested in engineering, science or a related field
Have a competitive ACT or SAT score
Cumulative GPA Renewable Amount each year
3.25+ 100%
3.00-3.24 75%
2.75-2.99 50%
2.50-2.74 25%
